Solution to oil-gas crisis? ‘Strait of Hormuz’ may open for Indian ships

Iran. Due to the ongoing tension in the Middle East, India is also facing the oil and gas crisis. Long lines are being formed for gas cylinders in many cities of the country. Even after booking several times, the cylinder is not available on time. Meanwhile, there is news that India may soon get relief from this shortage. Iran’s Ambassador to India Mohammad Fathali said on Friday that Indian ships may soon get safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

Emphasis on the relationship between India and Iran

During this conversation he emphasized on the relationship between India and Iran. According to experts, the Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important sea routes in the world. Dr. Abdul Majeed Hakim Elahi, representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran, says that discussions are going on in this regard and India is expected to get relief in oil-gas and other energy resources soon. He also said that world leaders will have to make joint diplomatic efforts to stop war in this region.

What does America want?

On the other hand, amid increasing tension in the Middle East, America is fully prepared to provide naval protection (escort) to commercial ships passing through the ‘Strait of Hormuz’. There are possibilities that this could have a major impact on global energy supply. White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly has told news agency IANS that ‘President Donald Trump is fully prepared to provide US Navy escort from Hormuz if necessary.’
