Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Access to quality education remains one of the most effective ways to empower future generations, and Smiley Children Society continues to make this vision a reality through its grassroots educational initiatives across Andhra Pradesh. Since its founding on January 19, 2019, the organization has dedicated itself to supporting children from economically disadvantaged families by providing educational opportunities, academic assistance, and community-based support.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society has established its headquarters in Mandapeta and operates branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through the efforts of its volunteers, educators, and community partners, the organization has become actively involved in promoting educational inclusion and child development.
One of the organization’s core initiatives focuses on helping children gain admission to government schools. Volunteers regularly engage with parents in rural communities, identify children who are not attending school, explain the importance of education, and assist families in completing the admission process. By working closely with local schools, the organization helps ensure that deserving children can begin their academic journey without unnecessary obstacles.
The initiative has received appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the contribution of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers in strengthening school enrollment and encouraging parents to invest in their children’s education.
“Our objective is simple—to ensure that every child has an opportunity to learn,” said Founder Prudhvi Moses. “Education has the power to transform individuals, families, and entire communities. Through our volunteers and partnerships, we are committed to making that opportunity available to every child who needs it.”
In addition to facilitating school admissions, Smiley Children Society operates free evening tuition classes in Angara. The program provides personalized academic support, helping students improve their understanding of core subjects, complete assignments, and prepare confidently for examinations.
Recognizing that learning is closely connected to health and well-being, the organization also provides free dinner to students attending the tuition sessions. This initiative supports children from financially challenged households while encouraging consistent attendance and better academic performance.
Beyond classroom support, Smiley Children Society continues to advocate for more engaging educational practices in Anganwadi centres and primary schools. During educational events, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged educators to adopt activity-based learning methods that stimulate creativity, improve participation, and make education enjoyable for young learners.
The organization also extends practical support by donating educational equipment, classroom learning materials, and teaching aids to schools whenever possible, helping teachers create better learning environments for children.
Looking to the future, Smiley Children Society aims to broaden its educational outreach, strengthen community partnerships, and inspire greater volunteer participation. Through its ongoing commitment to education, nutrition, and child welfare, the organization continues to contribute toward building stronger communities and a brighter future for children across Andhra Pradesh.
