JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Results Declared: NTA Releases All India Ranks and Cut-offs

Date:

NEW DELHI — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the results for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 today, April 20, 2026. Over 11.23 lakh students who appeared for the April session can now access their scorecards on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. This announcement marks the conclusion of one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance cycles, determining the eligibility for the prestigious JEE Advanced.

The Session 2 exams were conducted between April 2 and April 8, 2026, across 566 centres nationwide and 14 cities abroad. Along with the individual scorecards, the NTA has also released the All India Rank (AIR) list and the final category-wise cut-off percentiles. For candidates who appeared in both the January and April sessions, the NTA has considered the “Best of Two” scores to compile the final merit list.

This year’s results show a significant competitive trend, with early reports indicating a marginal increase in the qualifying cut-off for the General category. The top 2.5 lakh candidates are now eligible to register for JEE Advanced 2026, with registrations scheduled to begin on April 23 via the official portal managed by IIT Roorkee.

Students can download their results by logging in with their application number and date of birth. The scorecard features critical details including subject-wise NTA percentiles, total percentile, and the qualifying status for JEE Advanced.

For those who did not qualify for the Advanced stage, the JEE Main scores remain valid for the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling process, which is expected to commence in June. This will facilitate admissions into National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) across the country.
