China’s statement on Ukraine crisis in United Nations

Diplomat Thang Fei of China’s Permanent Mission to the UN called for a political solution to the Ukraine crisis at an emergency special UN General Assembly meeting. In his speech after the passage of the draft resolution on support of peace, Thang Fei said that at the current critical time, China is waiting for the international community to create an environment conducive to a political solution to the crisis. He said that it is hoped that the UN General Assembly will play a constructive role for peace. Swami Avimukteshwaranand’s statement came after the POCSO court ordered to register an FIR due to the political crisis in China. Thang Fei said that China has just abstained from voting on the draft decision of the UN General Assembly. China has always held the view that it is necessary to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of various countries, and at the same time abide by the principles of the UN Charter. The security concerns of various parties must be given due importance and all efforts conducive to a peaceful resolution of the crisis must be supported.
