According to ICC, Sarles is accused of violating the anti-corruption code. The matter pertains to the Bim10 League played in Barbados in 2023-24. It is alleged that during this tournament, a conspiracy was hatched to influence the outcome of the match and the state of the game. In this case, not only Sears, but Titans team owner Chittaranjan Rathod and team official Trayvon Griffith have also come under the scanner. ICC and Cricket West Indies (CWI) have taken action against all three under the Anti-Corruption Code and temporarily suspended them.

According to the ICC, all three tried to unfairly influence the results of matches or other aspects of the game of Bim10 League 2023-24. Apart from this, not giving information about some suspicious offers or contacts to the authorities is also considered a violation of anti-corruption rules.

ICC has given all three accused a chance to reply within 14 days. During this time, the Anti-Corruption Unit will continue investigating the case. This case is said to be part of a larger investigation already underway.
